Course Description
The AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis is a qualification included in the Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package 6.0 – 7.1. It consists of a set of units of competency that cover the diagnosis and repair of complex faults in various automotive systems, such as light and heavy vehicle braking, steering and suspension, engine management, and fuel systems. The qualification also includes units on the diagnosis and repair of high voltage rechargeable energy storage and traction motor speed control systems in battery electric and hybrid vehicles. Certificate IV is classified as a Level 4 qualification, and its field of education is Automotive Engineering and Technology.
Entry Requirements
- Be 18 yrs or older
- Hold a minimum Yr. 12 Certificate (or equivalent in Kenya Form 4)
- Be competent in written & spoken English (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent),
- Must have completed Cert III AUR 30616
Core Requirements
Students must complete 10 Units of competency and 240 hours of field placement.
