Course Description
CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is a qualification in the community services sector that provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to work in various roles, such as senior personal care assistant, care assistant, residential support worker, and community access coordinator. It consists of several units of competency including Providing individualised support, communicating and working in health or community services, working with diverse people, recognising healthy body systems, and following safe work practices for direct client care.
The qualification is associated with various industry sectors and occupations, such as Personal Care Assistant, Nurse’s Aide, Community Access Coordinator, Care Service Employee, Residential Care Worker, and more.
Entry Requirements
- Be 18 yrs or older
- Hold a minimum Yr 12 Certificate (or equivalent in Kenya Form 4)
- Be competent in written & spoken English (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent),
- Have a working digital literacy and access to computers.
- Hold or be able to hold a national police clearance, a DHS working with vulnerable people, Working with Children Certificate
- Evidence of Covid 19 vaccination or other health requirements the Australian government requires.
Core Requirements
18 Units of competency and 120 hrs of work placement.
