Course Description

The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support is a nationally recognised qualification in Australia. The qualification is offered in the Health and Community Services training packages and includes core and elective units of competency. The core units include facilitating the interests and rights of clients, coordinating services for older people, providing support to people living with dementia, supporting relationships with carers and families, managing legal and ethical compliance, and delivering care services using a palliative approach. The elective units include managing budgets and financial plans, leading effective workplace relationships, promoting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety, and working with people with mental health issues, among others. The minimum work requirement for this qualification is 120 hours.
