Course Description

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid is a comprehensive course that equips individuals with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond to a range of emergencies. This course is designed to meet the requirements of workplaces and other settings where individuals may be required to provide first aid in an emergency. The course covers a wide range of topics, including the legal and ethical responsibilities of a first aider, the principles of first aid, and how to respond to a range of medical emergencies. Participants will learn how to assess and manage an emergency and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on adults, children, and infants.

Upon successfully completing the course, participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment, valid for three years. This course is suitable for individuals who are required to provide first aid in a workplace or community setting, as well as for anyone interested in learning how to provide effective first aid in an emergency.
